Work on the portico has began and
is coming along nicely.  Hopefully
this will be finished soon and we
will be able to safely drive
underneath!  Workers were at the
building this past week working on
several different parts of the
building.  The light is now
working over the coffee bar
and bulletin boards!  This
truly is a work in progress!
I've been thinking about our logo recently.  The mission
underneath the picture promotes that we are serving the
community with love. The question that
really keeps coming back to me is: How?
How are we serving the community in
love?  Talk is often cheap!  Yesterday's
sermon was about being sent out beyond
our four walls.  Often it is easy to get into
our holy huddles and stay where we feel comfortable.  Hasn't God
called us to be more than comfortable?  I'm not sure God was very
comfortable by sending Jesus to the cross, but He did everything
He could to see men be reconciled back to Him.  My prayer for Blue
Ridge Christians Church in 2009 is that we would be wiling to do
everything we can to see men be reconciled back to Him.  Stay
strong and committed!

This is the title of the sermon
series for the month of
January.  We'll be taking a look
what sharing your faith should
look like.  Bob Ahnert was kind
enough to make a banner for
the sermon series.  The picture
does not do the banner justice.
Thanks Bob!

(How to Share Your Faith Without Being Creepy)
P.S.  Deborah and I closed on our first
home this past Monday.  We're very
excited and beyond blessed!  We can't
wait to have everyone over.  We're
planning on having a moving day
sometime later in January.  We'll keep
you posted.
***Wednesday night programming to resume this
Wednesday. The meal will be at 5:55 PM and the program at
6:30 PM.   The only thing missing is you! ***
Council of Ministry meeting will be
this Sunday after church.  A light
meal will be available with
donations accepted to cover the
cost of food.  The only way to
know what is going on in the life of
the church is to show up!
